Cassini ISS images - May 25-29, 2009


The following new images taken by the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on the Cassini spacecraft are now available:
  • Slender Slice of Shadow (Released 25 May 2009)
    The thin shadow of the moon Pandora cuts across Saturn's narrow F ring.
  • Between the Spokes (Released 26 May 2009)
    This low-phase Cassini image shows bright areas between dark spokes in Saturn's B ring.
  • Streaking Through the South (Released 27 May 2009)
    Cloud streaks stand out on Saturn's largest moon, Titan.
  • Encke Ringlets (Released 28 May 2009)
    Although Saturn's moon Pan is absent from this image of the A ring's Encke Gap, the moon's handiwork is still displayed.
  • Petite Moon (Released 29 May 2009)
    A bright arc within Saturn's faint G ring holds a tiny gift.
