Cassini ISS images - June 8-12, 2009


The following new images taken by the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on the Cassini spacecraft are now available:
  • On His Merry Way (Released 8 June 2009)
    Fresh from an encounter with Saturn's F ring, the moon Prometheus continues in its orbit.
  • Down Dione Way (Released 9 June 2009)
    Looking down toward the north pole of the moon Dione, the Cassini spacecraft sights wispy features.
  • Pan's Slender Shadow (Released 10 June 2009)
    Saturn's moon Pan casts a delicate shadow onto the planet's A ring.
  • Sun-bleached Rhea (Released 11 June 2009)
    Lit brilliantly by the sun, the moon Rhea shows off its huge ray crater.
  • Southern Color (Released 12 June 2009)
    The Cassini spacecraft samples a bit of Saturn's southern hemisphere along with a spread of the planet's main rings.
