Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter LROC images - February 22-March 11, 2010

The following featured images taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) are now available:

• Near the Summit of Malapert Mountain (Released 22 February 2010)
  The lunar highlands exhibit rhythmic patterns thought to result from slow, downslope creep of the loose regolith (soil).
• Marius Hills Pit - Lava Tube Skylight? (Released 1 March 2010)
  The Marius Hills pit is a possible skylight in a lava tube in an ancient volcanic region of the Moon called the Marius Hills.
• Crisium's Constellation Region of Interest (Released 11 March 2010)
  Boulders on a wrinkle ridge in Mare Crisium may help us understand the geology of this Constellation region of interest.
