Mars Odyssey THEMIS images - November 23-27, 2009


The following new images taken by the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) on the Mars Odyssey spacecraft are now available:
  • Dunes (Released 23 November 2009)
    This VIS image shows a portion of a dune field on the floor of an unnamed crater in Noachis Terra.
  • Lycus Sulci (Released 24 November 2009)
    Lycus Sulci is a very complex region surrounding the northern flank of Olympus Mons.
  • Windstreaks (Released 25 November 2009)
    The windstreaks in this VIS image are located in Syrtis Major Planum.
  • Brashear Crater Dunes (Released 26 November 2009)
    This VIS image shows the dune field on the floor of Brashear Crater.
  • Arsia Mons Flows (Released 27 November 2009)
    This VIS image shows lava flows of Arsia Mons.
