Cassini ISS images - February 8-19, 2010


The following new images taken by the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on the Cassini spacecraft are now available:
  • Satellite Companionship (Released 8 February 2010)
    Saturn shares its space with its moon Tethys in this Cassini-captured scene.
  • Wave Classification (Released 9 February 2010)
    The Cassini spacecraft spies two types of waves in Saturn's A ring: a spiral density wave on the left of the image and a more pronounced spiral bending wave near the middle.
  • Crescent of Craters (Released 10 February 2010)
    The Cassini spacecraft captures a crescent of crater-covered surface on the moon Rhea.
  • With Ghostly Spokes (Released 11 February 2010)
    Saturn's moon Pandora shares the stage with ghostly B ring spokes in this Cassini spacecraft scene.
  • Wispy Marble (Released 12 February 2010)
    Appearing like the swirls of marble, the wispy terrain of Saturn's moon Dione is captured in a dramatic display of light and dark.
